SUMMER 2025

June 30 - August 15
9:15 am - 3:15 pm

One- and Two-Week Sessions

Hudson Lab School has an amazing outdoor summer day camp for Grades K-5. Children split their days Tinkering, Making and Connecting with Nature. With the freedom to fail, the time to persevere, and constraints to breed creativity and foster problem-solving, kids learn to trust themselves and their curiosity at Camp Hudson. Near the end of each session, we celebrate campers’ work and learning by making it visible during exhibition. Check out our Superhero Academy brochure.

TINKERING

In the spirit of Gever Tulley’s Tinkering School in San Francisco, we spend each week on a large scale, collaborative group project using real tools and lots of grit. With the support of our teachers, kids discuss, ideate, design, build and test an ambitious tinkering project that captures the excitement and fun of invention.

NATURE

Camp Hudson takes full advantage of Andrus on Hudson’s 26 gorgeous acres. We explore the wooded groves, play games in the open fields, and get down and dirty in the garden where we learn about food and sustainability. Our outdoor program emphasizes a connection with nature through immersive exploration.

MAKING

Our maker activities are constantly changing giving kids the opportunity to have all kinds of creative adventures from art to acting, clothing and costume design, circuitry, bottle rocket competitions, photography and more!

CHOICE TIME

Each day ends with campers choosing among different activities. Loved something they did that day? They can go back for more. Feeling active? From sprinkler time to soccer to quidditch, there are always outdoor fun and games on the lawn. Want to explore the wild play space? Adventures include building forts, walking the slack line or just chilling in the woods stream-side. And of course, we always have a slate of indoor favorites from reading to Legos, card games and more.
